Metis Women HQ would like to welcome on board our new team members for the Maidstone group. If you are a Metis Women member and attend the Maidstone group or are thinking of coming along to a meeting in the near future, then you are in for a real treat! Ali Hollands, Claire Hulott and Kathryn Cooper – who will be leading the sessions from now on – bring with them a wealth of experience and a bundle of energy, passion, a variety of skills and expertise. Below is a short bio introducing you to them all.
Ali Hollands from Inspired to Change Hypnotherapy specialises in working with people suffering from stress and anxiety who have lost their way and don’t feel they are coping or enjoying life. She helps them regain control, confidence and belief to move forward with purpose, and build an enjoyable and positive path into the future. Clients leave her feeling better almost immediately, back in charge of their lives and free to make the choices they really want in WEEKS.
Ali says: ‘Making the choice to help run the Maidstone Metis Women meeting was simple; as an aspiring business woman, a clinical hypnotherapist and passionate champion of small business it seemed like a great opportunity to be able to make a difference for other local business owners. I’m proud to be a member of this vibrant and growing community and look forward to many, many (MANY) celebrations of our combined successes…watch this space!’
As owner operator of Chulo naturals – the height of luxury for natural skin care products – Claire Hulott handcrafts skin care products using the purest natural ingredients especially selected for their soothing, moisturising and nourishing effects. She loves her work and is never happier than when she is mixing potions! No matter what products her customer choose from, from creams and bath bombs to scrubs and oils, she makes it her priority to ensure that they feel enrobed in luxury the moment her products touch their skin.
Claire says: ‘Having been put off of networking some 13 years ago when I was introduced to what can only be described as an ‘old school boys club’, Metis Women was not my first choice. How pleased I am I decided to try it, I was hooked! A group of business women not afraid to ask for help, equally willing to share their knowledge and experience. When the opportunity arose to aid the running of the Maidstone branch, I was in like a shot…wanting to be a constant part of this refreshing new style of networking that really works!’
Kathryn Cooper is a designer specialising in making quality jewellery using gemstones and precious metals. Her pieces are mostly one-off creations, or produced in very limited numbers. She has an online shop and also sells her jewellery through various outlets including jewellery shops, gyms, a therapy centre and a photographer’s studio, as well as private jewellery exhibitions and charity events. She’s known for creating special things for special occasions
Kathryn says: ‘I was impressed with Metis Women from my first meeting. I was made to feel very much a part of the group. I like the idea of being in a women-only group offering not only networking opportunities, but also excellent professional advice and support. Being self-employed and working alone can sometimes feel isolating and Metis Women provides a great platform for getting away from your work space and getting out there and meeting your peers. Apart from making shiny things, I have many years experience in event management and business administration so I think that my experience will complement the other team members.’
We are inspired by your enthusiasm ladies and we are genuinely delighted to have you all on board.
